- About "Feed Me"...
-
- If you've seen the movie "Little Shop of Horrors," you should remember
- the bellowing request "FEED ME!" made by the plant. Well, this little
- program installs that sound into your Macs high memory so every time the
- message "Please insert the disk:" comes up, you hear the mac shout "Feed Me!"
-
- The program was written by me (Terry Bertram) a couple of months ago. I
- was planning on making it an INIT31 before I released it, but since it's
- been so long, and I've been rather busy, I decided to go ahead and throw
- it out here now. I'll change it to INIT31 when I find some time.
-
- I'm not asking any money for it... Just have fun.
-
-
- How It Works:
-
- You need the program file "Feed Me", and the sound file "Feed Me Sound" on
- the disk. When you run "Feed Me", it will install the sound into high
- memory and re-set the trap address as to play the sound whenever the
- "Please insert the disk:" message comes up. If you want to make a different
- sound come up instead, simply replace the "Feed Me Sound" file with an
- equivelent "BMUG-Type" digitized sound file. Also note: If you run the
- program more than once after booting, it will concatonate whatever sound
- it finds in "Feed Me Sound" with the sound already installed. In this way,
- you can have it play a multitude of sounds whenever you get the message.
-
- Also, since it's not an INIT31 yet, if you want to have it install the
- sound every time you turn on your Mac, simply select the "Feed Me" program
- and set it as "StartUp Application" in the "Special" menu of the Finder.
-
- Enjoy yourselves...
